Testing the paint.

 I mixed paint with pva and water. the water was to thin out the consistency as I later added saw dust into the paint mix to create a grass texture when it dries. The PVA was to help the saw dust stick together and stay on the surface of the plaster of paris.

I then put some patches of plaster of paris onto some spare foam in order to test how the paint would settle on the surface.
