The one struggle I had with this process was painting the 'waterfall' and applying the texture of the saw dust to a surface of that angle. The paint seemed to separate from the saw dust and ran down to the bottom of the waterfall, leaving just the saw dust stuck to the surface without the brown colouring. I had to do several coats of just brown paint over the saw dust to compensate for the effect of gravity.
